This one takes the traditional rolling in an RV routine to the next level. Launched earlier this year, the AKA Mobile Suite in partnership with Airstream 2 Go is not only the most glamorous, AKA-chic decked way to hit the road but also the world’s first. What’s more is, for you to be road-ready the luxury brand of long-stay accommodations and America’s go-to for Airstream trailers have tied up with California fashion designer Trina Turk.
This innovative experience begins with a personal styling session at the Trina Turk boutique in LA, complete with “VIP discounts” et al on Turk’s summer 2014 merch.
And with the designer’s recommended “What to Pack” list featuring her must-haves for the ultimate California road trip, to colorful Trina Turk accessories in suite, it only gets better. But as one would expect, none of it comes without AKA signature comforts, which can be found within the GMC Yukon Denali premium tow vehicle.
Featuring AKA’s plush linens, towels, bathrobes, Bulgari bath amenities, a Nespresso coffee machine and a DVD selection from AKA Beverly Hills’ private screening room, the mobile suite is only available to residents at the AKA Beverly Hills.
But you wouldn’t think twice about checking in once you hear this- two nights of exclusive glamping on Santa Barbara’s sun-dappled Sunstone Vineyards with sweeping views of the Santa Ynez Valley and two nights overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the luxurious Ocean Mesa Campground.
And if that doesn’t excite you enough, the five-day journey up the coast can be customized to include anything from surfing to ocean kayaking and whale watching, while connoisseurs can rejoice over the wine tastings on Santa Barbara’s Urban Wine Trail.
Additional luxe experiences can be arranged such as a private dinner at Sunstone Vineyard, spa treatments, botanical hikes, bike paths, yoga, stargazing and canyon concerts. And that is not to say, you don’t already have on-board luxuries befitting a five-star road trip.
Rich leather and upholstered interiors, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, a flat-panel TV/DVD and an iPod interface are what you get within the suite-on-wheels. There’s also a power awning, available AKA bikes and bike rack, camping chairs, a table and a gas grill.
Said Dicky Riegel, Founder and CEO of Airstream 2 Go. “AKA residents will enjoy all the comforts and luxury amenities of their AKA suite in their personal Airstream 2 Go vehicles.” Rates at AKA Beverly Hills start at $435 per night based on a one-week stay and for the AKA Mobile Suite, at approximately $6,000 for five days.
