New reports from health officials indicate that many fully vaccinated people are still managing to get a COVID-19 infection.
According to health officials in Minneapolis, there are 89 COVID-19 infections that have been identified in people who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Kris Ehresmann, the state infectious disease director, has said that the small fraction of fully vaccinated people who have still managed to catch COVID-19 was expected.
Doctors have said that those fully vaccinated people who required hospitalization after they discovered they were COVID-19 positive experienced milder symptoms.
The chances of an individual still getting infected with COVID-19 after they have received a vaccine is very low but not impossible.
Additionally, fully vaccinated people that get infected with COVID-19 will experience much milder symptoms when compared to someone who isn’t vaccinated.
