Bindi Irwin celebrates ‘big moment’ for one-year-old daughter Grace Warrior as she takes first steps

Bindi Irwin is celebrating a “big moment” for one-year-old daughter Grace Warrior Powell. Grace has taken her first steps on the grass at Australia Zoo, with proud mum Bindi watching on and dad Chandler Powell filming the milestone.

Bindi shared the video on her Instagram on Wednesday with the simple caption: “Big moment”. The young family is seen outside the zoo’s ‘Crocoseum’, as Grace walks toward her dad with a big smile on her face.

Bindi waves to the camera as her daughter walks, pride across the mother’s face as her baby says, “Hi Dada”. “Good walking!” Chandler says to Grace as she walks and squats down.

Fans and friends took to the comments, celebrating with the proud parents. “Awwwwww Grace is so adorable. I’m going to cry!!!” one user wrote.

“Omg, she’s just too precious!!!! She’s just so happy. I’m so in love. Great job on your walking skills, Grace!!” said another.

Australia Zoo also left a comment for Grace: “Learning to walk in the #AustraliaZoo gardens. The cutest. We’re so proud of you Grace Warrior!”

Grace turned one on March 25, exactly a year to the day after her parents wed.

To celebrate Grace’s birthday, Bindi posted a tribute on Instagram.

“Happy Birthday to my graceful warrior,” Bindi began.

“One year of watching your beautiful heart bloom into the most extraordinary person.”

Bindi shared a series of photos from Grace’s birthday celebration that included her brother Robert Irwin and mum, Terri Irwin.

Also seen in the celebrations was a photo of Grace’s late grandfather Steve Irwin.

Chandler Powell also posted a sweet message for his one-year-old daughter.

“I never knew I had so much love to give. Happy first birthday sweetheart,” Chandler wrote.
