According to The News, Paltrow and Aniston are best friends in the industry. As such, this meant that Brad Pitt dated his ex-wife’s best pal.
However, there was nothing in the article that indicates that Paltrow and Aniston are best friends. But the publication quoted Aniston’s previous interview with Allure.

In 2014, the Friends star gushed over Paltrow and their unexpected friendship.
“I’ve known her (Gwyneth) for a long time. That woman has got style to the moon and back. Chic, effortless, gorgeous. This sums us up. She’s always been sweet to me,” she said.

Pitt and Paltrow dated for a few years before they got engaged in 1996. Back then, the actor told Entertainment Tonight that their engagement was one of the greatest moments of his life.
Paltrow also opened up about their upcoming nuptials and seemingly expressed her excitement over exchanging their I do’s.
“I take the institution extremely seriously. There are no divorces in my family either – and in his either, so this is not something – we’ve been together for quite some time, so this is not a rash decision,” she said.

The Iron Man star also said that she and Pitt have decided to make their filming schedules work so that they could have time together.
“We’re just not doing movies at the same time. He’s gonna have a break while I do my next one and I’m gonna take a break when he does his – so, you really need to do that I think in order to, you know, have a relationship, you know? It’s too difficult to be separated, it really is,” she said.
Brad, Gwyneth split
However, Pitt and Paltrow never made it to the altar. While speaking with Us Weekly, the actress admitted that the end of her relationship with Pitt was very hard for her.
“I was in the middle of a terrible breakup [with Pitt], and the idea of going to England and being far from home just seemed … I didn’t even read it. And I was just like, ‘I can’t read anything right now. I’m having a really hard time,’” she said.
Years later, Paltrow told ABC News that Brad Pitt was such a good person. And she’s so lucky to have dated him.
