Of the 17 works on display, 7 were put up for live auction on Wednesday, March 21. All the pieces were sold by leading contemporary art specialist James Hendy, director at Bonhams.
The remaining 10 have been put up for silent auction, with all proceeds going directly to The Sound World Australia, which supports hearing impaired children on a global scale.
Pieces available include a sleeveless dress in thin leather, sculpted with geometric shapes carved with a laser and a bolero, by French designer Anne Valerie Hash; a panel of leather roses alongside a silk dress by Belgian label Delvaux; and a striking silk jacket paired with a three-dimensional replica of the jacket constructed from wire, by French team Casey .
