Her relationship with Louis Smith is going from strength to strength, but the gymnast was absent as Lucy Mecklenburgh ventured out in London on Thursday evening.
The 23-year-old fitness enthusiast was joined by a group of girlfriends for a pal’s birthday drinks at Fitzrovia’s Sanderson Hotel followed by a slap-up meal at neighbouring Japanese restaurant Tsunami. Catching the eye in an elegant black evening dress, Lucy was upbeat as she made her way out of the eatery later that night.
Sheer black heels completed the look, while the former TOWIE star’s tousled auburn locks were casually maintained with a side-parting and fell across her naturally pretty face. With the night still young, Lucy washed down her Japanese meal with drinks at Steam & Rye – the bar-restaurant co-owned by Kelly Brook – before making her way home.
Clearly thoroughly enjoying being in those heady first throes of romance, Olympic gymnast Louis recently opened up about his relationship with Lucy, sweetly admitting that the former TOWIE star is the ‘one thing missing’ from his puzzle.
Speaking to The Mirror, the 25-year-old said: ‘Everything’s great and I’m very happy’ He added that they’ve together for a few months, but that it actually feels like they’ve known each other for a very long time.
‘She’s very driven, busy and a real planner, whereas I’m probably more laid-back because, if I look ahead too much, I get stressed and then I don’t do well.
