Ashley Cain says he’s giving up Christmas following death of his daughter: ‘Your life will continue to affect the world’

Ashley Cain has stated that he has quit Christmas in the aftermath of the tragic death of his daughter Azaylia in 2021.

Ashley, 32, turned to social media to share footage of Azaylia’s ‘first talk’ which he said was ‘the nicest Christmas present ever’.

The child can be heard ‘chatting’ on in the video while Ashley says ‘excuse moi’ to his daughter. “Throwback to the finest Christmas gift ever – our first talk,” he captioned it.

“Giving up my future Christmases is ok since the memories from this one will last a lifetime.” “Azaylia – Your life will continue to affect the world, my angel.”

Safiyya Vorajee, Azaylia’s mother and Ashley’s ex-partner, responded on the video, saying, “My beautiful daughter I love you so much Azaylia the best Christmas I will ever have was with you princess.”

Azealia died in April 2021 after suffering acute myeloid leukemia, a rare and severe form of cancer. Ashley and Safiyya founded the Azaylia Foundation in August 2021 using cash raised for life-saving therapy in Singapore that their daughter was unable to get.

Through the foundation, Safiyya and Ashley help particular child cancer sufferers and bring equipment to the UK that is not generally available on the NHS. This implies that families will no longer have to raise huge amounts of money for their children to receive specialist treatment.

Both have spoken out about the beautiful moments they shared with their daughter before her death. “Even though these are the darkest times of our life, they’re also the most beautiful times of our lives,” Ashley said to Tyla.

“The eight months I spent with my daughter were the finest eight months I’ve ever had, and will ever have.” “We’re a foundation in its infancy, but we’re doing all we possibly can to make this as big and as powerful as possible and serve as many people as possible,” he said of the foundation.

“We’ve put so much time, effort, and love into it that I genuinely hope and think that The Azaylia Foundation can make a difference in the world.”
