Tina Craig and Kelly Cook’s Snob Essentials bag launch dinner drew 20 of the Bag Snob duo’s friends and had some editors huffing and puffing across the East River from the Dior cruise show to make it on time.
The party, hosted by HSN at General Assembly, was joined by editors and bloggers, including Nicky Hilton. “I adore Tina, and literally I wear her bags everywhere let me show you,” she said, opening her purse to show her iPhone, BlackBerry, purse and other essentials to prove she uses it. Hilton, who has her first book out later this year with Harlequin, said that it will be one filled with style tips.
“It has all sorts of weird tips, tricks and stories, and weird packing things I do,” she said. “Like when I’m packing for a trip I pack everything in a clear plastic bag and need to see them. With a big tote, I don’t like when it loses its shape and gets crunchy so I fill it with tights, T-shirts and socks. It’s serious business.”
The Snob Essentials is also hoping to become serious business. The line launches on HSN on Thursday.
